Information

Description

Description

A miniature branching epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, forming dense clusters of short, leafy stems with small, tightly packed oval leaves along each branch. Its compact shrub-like habit and tiny apical flowers make it an ideal candidate for terrariums and vivarium setups.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; tolerates the lower light levels typical of enclosed terrarium environments.
  • Temperature: 57–78°F (14–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower well suited to the stable temperatures of a terrarium or growing cabinet.
  • Humidity: 70–90%; thrives in the high, consistent humidity of enclosed growing environments.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; in terrariums, misting the mount regularly is sufficient.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or tree fern, both in open collections and enclosed terrarium setups. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
