Information

Description

Description

A compact reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing dense, globose corymbs of numerous small, waxy flowers on upright stems with narrow, strap-like leaves. The blooms display broad, rounded sepals and petals that curve inward to form a nearly tubular, bell-shaped structure, with a small lip bearing a prominent central callus.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the narrow foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that benefits from cool nights and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; good air circulation around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
