Description

Description

A jewel-like miniature from Andean cloud forests, bearing flowers with broad, wing-like lateral sepals that shimmer with a natural iridescent, silver-nacreous sheen. The tiny cupped lip with its vivid magenta center creates a striking focal point at the heart of each bloom — extraordinary detail at a miniature scale.

  • Light: Low to medium indirect light; avoid any direct sun. Consistent, diffused light is ideal for this cloud forest miniature.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C) — Cool to Intermediate grower. Requires stable, cool conditions and excellent air movement at all times.
  • Humidity: 80–95%; very high humidity is essential. Best grown in a terrarium, grow case, or humid greenhouse environment.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate consistently moist — never allow to dry out. Use soft, low-mineral water and ensure excellent drainage to prevent rot.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or tree fern, or in a small pot with fine sphagnum moss. A rewarding miniature for the experienced grower seeking something truly rare. Ships mounted or in a small pot, well-established.
