Epidendrum repens

A miniature creeping epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, forming low, spreading mats of slender, leafy stems with small, alternately arranged leaves. Short apical racemes bear few, delicate flowers with elongated, acuminate, granular-textured sepals, shorter curved petals, and a prominent three-lobed lip with an open yellow-green throat.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the compact, mat-forming stems.
• Temperature: 57–78°F (14–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that adapts well to stable warm conditions with moderate night temperature drops.
• Humidity: 70–85%; consistent moisture and good air movement around the creeping roots are essential for healthy growth.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged dryness, which can stress the fine root system.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or tree fern to accommodate its creeping, mat-forming habit, or in a shallow, very open bark mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
