Tillandsia espinosae

A species endemic to Ecuador, forming a dense, symmetrical rosette of narrow, linear-triangular leaves covered in abundant silvery-grey trichomes. The compact, globose habit and heavily scaled foliage give it a striking architectural presence that requires no soil to thrive.

• Light: Bright indirect to filtered light; tolerates higher light levels than most Tillandsias thanks to its dense trichome coverage, but avoid prolonged harsh midday sun.
• Temperature: 60–78°F (16–26°C); an intermediate grower that performs best with good air circulation and no cold drafts below 50°F (10°C).
• Humidity: 50–70%; moderate humidity combined with regular misting or soaking supports healthy trichome function and vigorous growth.
• Watering: Mist thoroughly 2–3 times per week or soak for 20–30 minutes weekly; always allow to dry completely within a few hours to prevent rot at the base.

Additional Notes

An endemic Ecuadorian air plant that can be mounted on cork bark, driftwood, or displayed freely without any substrate. Plants are well-established and shipped without soil, ready to mount or display upon arrival.
