Information

Description

Description

A delicate miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing successive flowers on slender ramicauls emerging from small, ovate leaves. The blooms exhibit the finely detailed free sepals and bilobed petals characteristic of the genus, offering a subtle yet captivating display.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 60–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the thin foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower that benefits from cool nights and consistent air movement.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain high ambient humidity with good airflow to prevent fungal problems.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist at all times; water frequently in small amounts and never allow the roots to dry out completely.

Additional Notes

Best mounted on cork or tree fern, or potted in a fine, well-draining mix (sphagnum moss or fine bark). Ships bare root, well-established.
