Cyrtochilum williamsianum

Cyrtochilum williamsianum is an impressive Andean orchid with long, branching inflorescences and intricately patterned flowers. As the sweeping spikes mature, they create an expansive, architectural display that captures the dramatic character of a high-elevation cloud forest species.

Care Guide

• Light: Provide bright, filtered light. Avoid intense midday sun, which may scorch the foliage.
• Water: Water regularly during active growth, allowing the growing medium to approach dryness between waterings without remaining dry for long.
• Humidity: Maintain moderate to high humidity with strong, consistent air circulation.
• Temperature: Grow in cool to intermediate conditions with cooler nights. Protect the plant from prolonged heat.
• Growing medium: Use an airy, fast-draining orchid mix that retains light moisture. Give the plant generous room for its developing pseudobulbs and long flower spikes.

With cool conditions and enough space to display its inflorescences, Cyrtochilum williamsianum becomes a commanding specimen whose detailed blooms make it a memorable centerpiece.
