Named in honor of Adolphe Tonduz, the Swiss-Costa Rican botanist who contributed extensively to the exploration of Central American and Andean flora, Masd. tonduzii is a refined intermediate-growing species from Ecuador. Its relative scarcity in cultivation and well-defined floral character make it a valued addition to any serious collection.
Additional Notes
Grown at Ecuagenera in the highlands of Ecuador under intermediate mountain conditions. Plants are shipped bare root, well-established, and ready to mount or pot in fine bark or sphagnum moss.
