A striking miniature orchid from Andean cloud forests, remarkable for its prolific blooming and lush, dense growth. The flowers feature open, well-separated sepals tapering into short tails, in deep, velvety dark tones that emerge in impressive clusters directly from the base of the plant.
Additional Notes
Best grown in fine bark or sphagnum moss in small net or plastic pots. Well suited for intermediate indoor or greenhouse setups. Offered by Ecuagenera, Ecuador, as a well-established bare-root plant.
Arrived in great condition. A large specimen I divided into 2 and mounted on cork. Leaves are up to 6 inches. Growing nicely in a terrarium with LED lighting at about 1800 fc. Keeping moist, with humidity between 65-85%, and air circulation provided by a mini fan.
