Philodendron subhastatum

I got this plant at a pop-up in May 2022, it didn't lose any leaves during acclimation but the newest growth point was rotted inside the cataphylls but had another growth inside that was still good. That new growth unfurled 2 weeks ago and the leaf size increase is dramatic. This plant was thriving and was a good size when I purchased it. One of the easier plants I have purchased yet.

the plant recovered nicely when i put it in a humid enviornment and is now doing very well. The backs of the leaves are very red and beautiful

The subhastatum I received had a completely different leaf shape to the pictures and no red at all on the leaf backs. It looked so unlike any subhastatum I had seen that I emailed ecuagenera and told them I was convinced it was the wrong plant. They told me that it was the right plant, and after a lot of research and consulting others, it turns out that it is the ìmatureî version of the plant, while what is pictured is the juvenile form. Iím not sure if the red will come back as it grows for me, but itís been doing well in my environment so far. Still a cute plant, just isnít really what I ordered.
