Information

Cattleya coccinea round form

A highly attractive miniature species native to the cloud forests of South America, featuring a compact growth habit with tightly clustered pseudobulbs. This selected 'round form' strain stands out for its exceptionally full flowers with broad, overlapping petals that create an impeccably symmetrical appearance.

  • Luz: Bright indirect light with 60–70% shade cloth; avoid intense, direct sun to prevent heat stress on the small foliage.
  • Temperatura: 59–79°F (15–26°C); a cool to intermediate grower that benefits from a distinct temperature drop at night.
  • Humedad: 60–80%; high humidity combined with strong air movement is essential to mimic its native cloud forest environment.
  • Riego: Water regularly to keep the medium evenly moist; ensure rapid drainage so the roots never remain waterlogged.

Additional Notes

Ideal for growing in small pots with high-quality sphagnum moss or mounted on cork to display its miniature stature and strikingly round, vibrant blooms. Ships bare root, healthy, and ready to be rehydrated at an intermediate temperature before potting.
