Information

Description

Description

A floriferous epiphyte native to Ecuador, forming dense fans of lanceolate leaves and producing multiple small flowers simultaneously on short scapes. Each bloom features spreading lanceolate sepals and petals with a cucullate dorsal sepal and a small lip with a distinctive dark central mark.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Temperature: 58–78°F (14–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air circulation.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity supports the dense fan habit and reliable blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Ships bare root and well-established — pot promptly upon arrival in fine bark mix and water generously to rehydrate the roots. Best grown mounted or in a small, well-draining pot.
