Information

Description

Description

This miniature epiphyte is native to South America, with a known distribution from Ecuador to Peru. It is part of the Pleurothallidinae subtribe and is characterized by a compact growth habit, typical of species that thrive in the humid, shaded environments of its native tropical habitats.

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight should be avoided as it can easily scorch the leaves.
  • Temperature: Grow as an Intermediate temperature species. Maintain stable conditions, likely in the 60-80°F (15-27°C) range, avoiding extremes.
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity (70% or more) and excellent air circulation to mimic its cloud forest or humid tropical environment.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the potting medium moist. Like many compact epiphytes, it should not be allowed to dry out completely.

Additional Notes

It generally features small, intricate flowers that are most often of interest to specialized collectors.
