Information

Philodendron ornatum cf

Philodendron ornatum cf brings a bold, architectural presence to any collection, with thick, deeply lobed leaves that mature into a dramatic, sculptural form as the plant climbs. Its sturdy stems and richly textured foliage make it a striking centerpiece for growers who appreciate a philodendron with real visual weight.

Care Guide

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; filtered sun encourages strong, well-formed leaves.
  • Water: Water when the top inch of substrate dries out; keep consistently moist without waterlogging.
  • Temperature: Prefers warm, stable conditions between 65-85°F (18-29°C).
  • Humidity: Thrives with humidity above 60%; higher humidity supports larger, more dramatic leaf lobing.
  • Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix with bark, perlite, and coco coir.
  • Support: A vigorous climber that benefits from a sturdy moss pole or trellis to reach its full mature leaf form.

Given warmth, humidity, and something solid to climb, Philodendron ornatum cf develops into a bold, sculptural specimen that only gets more impressive with age.
