Guzmania Orange

A striking bromeliad with a compact rosette of smooth, linear-lanceolate leaves and a bold star-shaped inflorescence of vivid orange-red lanceolate bracts surrounding a cluster of tubular yellow flowers at the center. Its long-lasting floral display and low-maintenance nature make it an excellent choice for both collectors and interior tropical arrangements.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can bleach the foliage and damage the bracts.
• Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C); a warm tropical grower that performs best with stable temperatures and no cold drafts.
• Humidity: 60–80%; benefits from regular misting and keeping the central cup filled with fresh water.
• Watering: Keep the central rosette cup filled with water and change it regularly to prevent stagnation; water the substrate sparingly, allowing it to dry slightly between waterings.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bromeliad or bark-based mix in a pot with good drainage. The inflorescence is long-lasting and the plant will produce offsets (pups) after blooming, which can be separated and grown on independently.
