Information

Description

Description

The yellow color form of Epi. wallisii, native to the cloud forests of the northern Andes. It produces arching, multi-flowered racemes with narrow, recurved sepals and petals and a broad, three-lobed lip bearing a vivid orange callus at its center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent leaf scorch.
  • Temperature: 57–78°F (14–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that adapts well to stable warm conditions with moderate night drops.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; ensure good air movement around the roots and foliage to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix or mounted on cork. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
