Information

Description

Description

An epiphytic species native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, forming dense, tufted clumps of narrow, linear leaves from which numerous small flowers emerge simultaneously, each with slender, acutely pointed sepals and petals held close to the foliage. Its profuse, simultaneous blooming habit and compact, mat-forming growth make it a visually striking specimen when in full flower.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the narrow foliage.
  • Temperature: 58–78°F (14–26°C); thrives as an intermediate-warm grower with stable temperatures and a gentle nighttime drop.
  • Humidity: 65–80%; consistent humidity supports the dense root system and encourages prolific blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix in a pot or basket. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt to your growing conditions.
