Lycopodium goebelii

A living relic from one of the most ancient lineages of vascular plants, this trailing epiphytic lycophyte produces long, densely pinnate stems with spirally arranged acicular microphylls that cascade elegantly from a hanging basket. Its feathery, silver-green texture is unlike anything in the plant kingdom — a collector's specimen as much for its evolutionary story as its ornamental impact.

• Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun. Consistent diffused light maintains the dense, uniform texture of the stems.
• Temperature: 60–85°F (15–29°C) — Intermediate to Warm grower. Prefers stable temperatures with excellent air movement.
• Humidity: 70–90%; high ambient moisture is essential. Mist regularly or grow in a humid greenhouse environment.
• Watering: Keep consistently moist but never waterlogged. Use soft, low-mineral water — sensitive to salt and mineral buildup. Never allow to fully dry out.
