Lepanthes myiophora

A charming miniature species from the cloud forests of Central America. It forms a dense mat of small, smooth orbicular-cordate leaves with a finely papillose texture, and produces successive tiny flowers directly over the leaf surface with three acuminate star-like sepals and contrasting elongated petals at the center.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the delicate foliage.
• Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
• Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its compact mat-forming habit and prolific blooming make it an excellent terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
