Lepanthes inaequisepala

A dramatically architectural miniature species native to Ecuador. It produces successive flowers on slender peduncles with a broad, concave hood-like dorsal sepal with an undulate margin and an elongated filiform tip, and a markedly elongated acuminate synsepal pointing downward, creating a striking asymmetric flame-like outline with a small, intricate floral complex nestled within.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the delicate foliage.
• Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
• Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its uniquely asymmetric floral structure makes it one of the most architecturally distinctive Lepanthes for terrarium culture. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
