Information

Description

Description

A dramatic miniature species from the cloud forests of Central America. It produces successive flowers on slender peduncles with a markedly elongated rhomboid-lanceolate outline, an erect dorsal sepal with a long filiform tip, a greatly elongated acuminate synsepal pointing downward, prominent longitudinal veins across a finely granular iridescent surface, and a small violet-mauve labellum at the center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its extraordinarily elongated floral structure makes it one of the most architecturally striking Lepanthes for terrarium culture. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
