Drymonia affinis

Drymonia affinis is a distinctive tropical gesneriad that brings lush, rainforest character to a curated plant collection. Its climbing or trailing habit makes it especially attractive in a humid greenhouse, terrarium, or sheltered tropical display where its foliage can be appreciated at close range.

Care Guide

• Light: Provide bright, filtered light or gentle partial shade. Protect the foliage from harsh direct sun.
• Water: Keep the growing medium consistently moist but never waterlogged. Allow the surface to become just slightly less damp between waterings.
• Humidity: Maintain high humidity with gentle, regular air movement to discourage stagnant conditions.
• Temperature: Grow in warm to intermediate conditions and protect the plant from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
• Growing medium: Use a loose, organic, well-drained mix that holds some moisture while allowing ample air around the roots.

With filtered light, steady warmth, reliable moisture, and humid moving air, Drymonia affinis can become an expressive tropical specimen with an appealing naturalistic habit.
