Masdevallia Samantha Kha

A compact, floriferous hybrid — a cross of Masd. ignea × Masd. Chinese New Year — bearing slender upright scapes with broad, overlapping sepals and dramatically elongated sepaline tails. Flowers are produced sequentially, giving the plant a lively, animated appearance in bloom.

• Light: 70–80% shade cloth; avoid any direct sun exposure, which can cause leaf burn and stress the plant during warm months.
• Temperature: 50–65°F (10–18°C); cool grower — requires cool nights year-round. Avoid temperatures above 75°F (24°C) for extended periods.
• Humidity: 70–90%; maintain high ambient humidity at all times. Use a humidity tray or cool-mist humidifier if growing indoors, and ensure good air movement to prevent fungal issues.
• Watering: Keep the medium evenly moist at all times — never allow it to dry out completely. Water 2–3× per week; adjust frequency based on pot size, medium, and ambient temperature.

Additional Notes

Grown at Ecuagenera in the cloud forests of Ecuador. Best suited for cool greenhouse or highland windowsill culture. Ships bare root, well-established.
