Information

Description

Description

A charming miniature species from the cloud forests of Colombia and Ecuador, it captivates with delicate rose-pink flowers held on slender upright spikes, displaying the characteristic triangular sepaline tube with elongated tails. Its compact, tufted habit makes it ideal for cool-growing collections.

  • Light: Low to moderate light; 70–80% shade cloth recommended. Avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Temperature: 45–65°F (7–18°C). Cool grower; requires cool nights to thrive. Avoid temperatures above 75°F (24°C).
  • Humidity: 80–90%. Maintain high ambient humidity with good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist at all times; never allow the roots to dry out completely. Water frequently in warm months, slightly less in cooler periods.

Additional Notes

Grown by Ecuagenera in the highlands of Ecuador, this species thrives in a fine bark or sphagnum moss mix with excellent drainage. Shipped bare root, well-established.
