Information

Description

Description

A delicate miniature species from Andean cloud forests with narrow, arching leaves and solitary pendulous flowers. The lateral sepals fuse into a tightly closed, conical cup with bold, contrasting parallel striping, while two slender tails extend downward from the base.

  • Light: 60–70% shade cloth; bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which scorches the narrow leaves.
  • Temperature: 55–70°F (13–21°C) — Intermediate grower. Tolerates mild fluctuations; avoid prolonged heat above 75°F (24°C).
  • Humidity: 80–90%. Maintain strong air circulation to prevent fungal issues at the crown and roots.
  • Watering: 2–3 times per week; keep roots evenly moist at all times. No pseudobulbs — cannot tolerate drying out. Use soft, low-mineral water when possible.

Additional Notes

Grown and propagated by Ecuagenera in the highlands of Ecuador. Named after the Paquisha canton in Zamora-Chinchipe province. A refined miniature for collectors who appreciate fine botanical detail. Shipped bare root, well-established.
