Dendrobium Pepe Portilla f. pink (Big)

A cross between Den. agathodaemonis and Den. cuthbertsonii, this charming miniature hybrid inherits the long-lasting, vividly saturated flowers of cuthbertsonii alongside the compact, floriferous habit of agathodaemonis. The pink form is particularly sought after for its soft, jewel-like blooms that persist for months on the plant.

• Light: Moderate indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun to prevent overheating, especially given its cool-growing nature.
• Temperature: Cool grower. Daytime 58–68°F (14–20°C), nighttime 48–55°F (9–13°C); consistent cool conditions are key to long-term health and continuous blooming.
• Humidity: 70–85%; use a humidifier or terrarium with constant air movement to prevent rot at the roots and crown.
• Watering: Keep the medium evenly moist; never allow roots to dry out completely, and ensure excellent drainage to avoid rot.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark or tree fern, or in very small pots with fine sphagnum moss; the influence of Den. cuthbertsonii makes it exceptionally long-blooming but demanding of cool, humid conditions.
