Adelonema pallidinervium Culture
Successful cultivation of the fascinating Adelonema pallidinervium. Here are some important cultural tips to ensure its thriving growth:
Light: Adelonema pallidinervium enjoys bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.
Temperature: Aim for warm temperatures between 20-28°C (68-82°F) during the day and slightly cooler nights around 18-24°C (64-75°F).
Humidity: High humidity is crucial for this species. Maintain levels between 70-80% by using humidifiers, pebble trays, or misting regularly.
Watering: Keep the substrate consistently moist but avoid waterlogging. Allow the top layer to dry slightly between waterings.
I received this plant and it looked ok, it arrived with 3 leaves. I tried acclimating it with the others and it looked sadder every day. I changed from water to perlite and it did worse, so I put in moss and it just died, leaves were limp and lifeless. Its a loss but its a risk you take, will not reorder this plant again.
Plant is small relative to price.
Received this plant with 6 leaves.the roots where robust but after a week of acclimating the stalks rotted and i lost 3 beautiful leaves.i hope they survive.
I ordered about a dozen of plants and I couldn't believe my eyes - they all arrived super fresh, with big developed leaves and healthy root systems. As if shipping never happened. Each plant was carefully wrapped to preserve moisture and prevent rot. This adelonema has many leaves, is of big size and looks very pretty. The leaves are velvety and soft and have beautiful silver middle accents. So far, I noticed this plant needs a lot of humidity in the roots area.
