Information

Description

Description

A miniature epiphytic orchid native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, grown for its compact, clustering habit and intricate small flowers with fused lateral sepals and a rounded, distinctly trilobed lip. The small, fleshy, ovate leaves and neat growth form make it an ideal species for terrarium culture or cool-intermediate windowsill collections.

  • Light: Low to moderate indirect light with 60–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the small, fleshy leaves.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool-intermediate grower that requires consistently cool nights to thrive and rebloom.
  • Humidity: 70–90%; high humidity is essential — mount on cork or grow in a humid enclosure to replicate cloud forest conditions.
  • Watering: Keep the roots consistently moist but never waterlogged; mounted plants may require daily misting in dry conditions.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark or tree fern with a thin layer of sphagnum moss, or in a small pot with fine bark and perlite. Ships bare root and well-established — roots are healthy and ready to adapt quickly to your growing conditions.
