Information

Description

Description

A rare and diminutive epiphyte from the high-altitude cloud forests of the Andes, forming tight cushion-like mats of small, fleshy leaves. It produces solitary flowers on short stems, each with broadly triangular sepals and a neat, compact form characteristic of the genus.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure, which can stress the small, succulent leaves.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a Cool grower that requires stable cool conditions and good air movement. Minimum 45°F (7°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%; mount to ensure excellent airflow around the fine root system while keeping ambient humidity high.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the mount evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, which the fine roots do not tolerate well.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark to accommodate its creeping, cushion-forming habit. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
