The compact, rounded bloom features a small hooded dorsal sepal, a concave cup-like synsepalum, and broad, rounded petals flanking the column — a plump, frog-like form that gives this species its fitting name.

• Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a Cool grower that thrives with stable cool conditions and consistent air movement. Minimum 45°F (7°C).
• Humidity: 70–90%; grow in a small pot or mount with a fine open mix to maintain moisture around the roots while ensuring good airflow.
