Information

Phaius tankervilleae alba x flavus Culture

One of the Phaius species we grow at Ecuagenera, Phaius tankervilleae alba x flavus does best under intermediate-to-warm conditions.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light, out of direct midday sun.
  • Temperature: Day temperatures of 22-30 °C (72-86 °F) with a gentle drop at night to 18-22 °C (64-72 °F) suit it best.
  • Humidity: Aim for 60-80% humidity year-round, always paired with good air circulation.
  • Watering: Water regularly during active growth, allowing the medium to begin drying between waterings. Reduce slightly during the cooler months.

Additional notes: 'alba' in the name denotes its white color form, a departure from the usual coloring of the species that collectors especially look for.
