Despite being a miniature plant, it produces relatively large, translucent, circular flowers that resemble tiny orange satellites or jellyfish, creating a striking contrast against its delicate, rounded foliage.
Light: They require low to medium "jewel orchid" lighting. This species thrives in deep shade or dappled light, mimicking the forest floor.
Temperature: This species prefers intermediate to warm temperatures. It is sensitive to extreme heat; ideally, daytime temperatures should stay below 27°C, with a refreshing drop at night.
Humidity: High humidity is non-negotiable for this orchid, ideally between 80-90%. Because it lacks pseudobulbs to store water, it relies on a saturated atmosphere to survive. It is a perfect candidate for terrariums or glass Wardian cases where moisture levels remain stable.
Watering: Lepanthes telipogoniflora must never dry out. The substrate should be kept consistently moist but not stagnant. Use high-quality water (distilled, RO, or rainwater) as they are extremely sensitive to mineral salts and chlorine found in tap water.
Additional Notes:
The most critical factor for Lepanthes telipogoniflora is the balance between high humidity and gentle air circulation. Without air movement, the high moisture can lead to crown rot. This species is "ever-blooming," meaning it can produce flowers successively from the same leaf axil for many months, so avoid cutting old flower spikes unless they have completely dried up.
I received my order with two plants today, and I’m really disappointed. The plants were completely dried out. If you're offering worldwide shipping, you should make sure that the plants can survive the transport. I thought that since the company also has a presence in Germany, there wouldn’t be any issues and the plants would arrive in good condition. But I was wrong. It’s a shame...
Dear Halil,
We’re truly sorry to hear about your recent experience and understand your disappointment. Shipping live plants internationally presents challenges, but our goal is always to ensure they arrive healthy and well-protected — especially for valued customers like you in Germany.
Your feedback is important, and we take it seriously. Please feel free to contact us at sales@ecuagenera.com with photos of the plants received so we can evaluate the situation and see how we can make it right.
We appreciate your trust and hope to have the opportunity to restore your confidence in our service.

My Lep. telipogoniflora arrived with only a couple mostly dried out leaves, which all dropped within a week of arrival. I contacted Ecuagenera within a day of it being received to notify them it was not in good shape. They replied to give it a week to see if it would recover and update them. I sent a follow up email a week later with follow-up pictures of it no longer alive and requesting a replacement. I have never received a reply to that email to resolve the dead plant.
Product arrived on time but plants were Bone dry. Trying to rehab them now. Will try to follow up…
Came in small bit after a month is already growing 3 flower stalks with closed lantern like flowers and I absolutely love it !
This little tiny plant lost most of it's leaves in shipment. It was packaged well but the leaves looked like they might have rotted. Maybe too much moisture in the protective packaging. Not sure. I've had it for 2 weeks now and it seems to be perky and I hope it will start some new growth soon.
