Information

Description

Description

A reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing lax, branched panicles of small flowers arranged in short secondary clusters along upright cane stems with narrow leaves. Each bloom displays broad, rounded sepals and petals alongside a small, neatly three-lobed lip with well-defined lateral lobes.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the narrow foliage.
  • Temperature: 54–75°F (12–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from moderate temperature fluctuations between day and night.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; good air circulation around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
