When I picked up the plant at the Oregon Orchid Society's annual show in April, I failed to inspect the plant that I had pre-paid. Had I inspected it, I would have asked for a different plant or a REFUND. The plant started out with yellow leaves and black spots. To date, it has lost 3/4 of its leaves and the ones that are left continue to turn yellow and fall off. I am quite certain the plant will not survive. I am not new to orchids and I can assure you that this is not a "user" problem.
Plant arrived damaged and turning black. All leaves had fallen off. Poorly packaged for shipping. Asked for a refund.
most it's leaves fall off. i hope it will be okay.
The plant arrived in Florida, USA in good shape and very healthy. The leaves and root ball looked happy. It is a large plant which makes me happy. I can easily recommend Ecuagenera and the stratiotes.
I paid for 2nd day air and the plants arrived in decent health. Many of the roots were dead: they were papery and didn't become green when watered. However, each plant had many pseudobulbs, many leaves, even some flowers, and currently, nearly 4 wks after mounting them, only a few leaves have fallen. My only disappointment is that the flower color is a soft orange (cantelope color) rather than the more vivid red of the photo. This species is rarely for sale, so I am happy with the two I bought.
