A rare and highly sought-after aroid from the cloud forests of South America, closely resembling Philodendron lynnhannoniae in its elongated, deeply bullate leaves with a velvety dark-green surface and contrasting pale venation. It climbs vigorously and develops increasingly impressive foliage with maturity.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun, which can bleach and damage the textured leaf surface.
  • Temperature: 60–80°F (16–27°C). Warm to intermediate grower; protect from temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 65–85%; high humidity promotes larger, more textured leaves. A humidifier or enclosed growing space is ideal.
  • Watering: Keep the mix evenly moist but never waterlogged; use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with a moss pole or support for climbing. Ships bare root, well-established (35–45cm). Grown at Ecuagenera, Ecuador.
